Very cool spot at Fort Mason with great views. Feels like a very modern German beer hall, with a nice selection of old-school German beer. Food is serviceable, but tasty, bartenders, friendly, prices are a bit steep, but worth it for the location.

The beer can be expensive, but I love the vibe of this place and the variety it has. I haven't tried too much of the food here, but the items that I have had are good! This is a great spot to come with friends just to catch up and have a good time. Note that the inside can be quite loud sometimes though depending on if there's a DJ playing, so the outside is a good option unless it's cold. My favorite beer so far has been the Munich Gold, which almost has a sweeter honey hint to it. Also, last time, we requested the 3 Liter boot which was fun to share with our friends!

Summary: A beautiful, wide-open space with plenty of light, stunning views of the water and Golden Gate Bridge, delicious food, and German beers. Visited on a Sunday afternoon after the craft fair at Fort Mason. There was a small line, but I was seated in about 5 to 10 minutes. Ordered the curry wurst, pretzel, and ravioli. Everything was incredible. The curry wurst had a slight sweetness that paired well, the pretzel was freshly baked, and the ravioli were cooked perfectly. Sat at the bar and watched the chefs make ravioli by hand. Enjoyed a few crisp beers, making it the perfect Sunday lunch.

We walked here from the Kimpton Alton Hotel in Fisherman's Wharf -- about a 20 minute very pleasant walk with great views. The restaurant is in a cavernous old military building in the Fort Mason complex with huge windows that afford a great view of the Golden Gate. Tons of indoor seating, and also some outdoor tables (but these are on the side that doesn't face the water, and there weren't any umbrellas either, so the sun could potentially beat down on you while you eat). I got the fried cod sandwich ("fischbrotchen"), which was absolutely delicious -- one of the best fish sandwiches I've ever had. The fish had a really crispy but not overly rich batter, and the fish itself was light and fluffy. It was topped with a very fresh-tasting cabbage slaw, and the side of fries was perfect. Rounded it out with a Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier, and I was a happy man. Service was great, from the warm hostess to the attentive waiter and busboys. Price was fairly high, but the quality of the food and the great atmosphere was worth it!

Radhaus always provides excellent service and delicious food, not to mention the beautiful setting with views of the Golden Gate Bridge + Marina. As a regular, the staff and dishes are exceptionally consistent, with a special nod to Jesus and Angel who go above and beyond at checking in with their tables and the overall dining experience. Highly recommend for a casual yet first rate German meal in San Francisco!
